Date Posted: 10/6/2006

SAN JOSE – A photo documentary show and exhibition will take place at the Green Rice Gallery entitled "Humans For Sale - A Photo Documentary" on Friday, October 6th, 2006, 8pm. According to the event’s organizers, the “exhibition seeks to put a human face on a human trade.” The photographs are compiled from Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.

Reverend Peter Nguyen Van Hung, executive director of the Vietnamese Migrant and Brides Office (VMWBO) and founding board member of the Vietnamese Alliance to Combat Trafficking (VietACT) will be present at the event as a featured special guest from Taiwan. The inspiration for the exhibition was sparked during a trip to visit Father Peter’s VMWBO.

The exhibition will take place at Green Rice Gallery located at 300 South First Street, San Jose, California. After the opening, photo exhibition will travel to various locations with the purpose of bringing greater attention to modern-day human slavery. In addition, any funds raised will be made to anti-human trafficking organizations.
