AFESIP - Acting For Women in Distressing Situations
AFESIP exists to combat trafficking in women and children for sex slavery; to care for and rehabilitate those rescued from sex slavery; to provide occupational skills and to reintegrate those rescued into the community in a sustainable and innovative manner. AFESIP also seeks to combat the causes and effects of trafficking and sex slavery through outreach work in AIDS prevention; through advocacy and campaigning; through representation and participation in women’s issues at national, regional and international forums.

The Asia Foundation
The Asia Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to the development of a peaceful, prosperous, just, and open Asia-Pacific region. The Foundation supports programs in Asia that help improve governance and law, economic reform and development, women's empowerment, and international relations. Drawing on 50 years of experience in Asia, the Foundation collaborates with private and public partners to support leadership and institutional development, exchanges, and policy research. With a network of 18 offices throughout Asia, an office in Washington, D.C., and its headquarters in San Francisco, the Foundation addresses these issues on both a country and regional level. In 2005, the Foundation provided more than $61 million in program support and distributed 1.1 million books and educational materials valued at $28 million throughout Asia.

TaiwanACT - Taiwan Alliance to Combat Trafficking
As a result of the growing abuse and trafficking of Vietnamese nationals in Taiwan, a number of Vietnamese Catholic priests and sisters began to offer assistance to help these victims bring their perpetrators to justice. These priests settled in Taiwan for missionary work over a decade ago, mostly from the US and Australia. As a result, they are fluent in spoken and written Mandarin, and have credibility among the local Taiwanese community.

UNICEF Vietnam
UNICEF has been in Viet Nam since 1975. UNICEF’s current programme of support (2001-2005) to Viet Nam focuses on the above problems and works with the government to advance the rights of women and children.
